Hey there, I’m so glad you’ve made it to this corner of my website! Welcome to the starting line of your own official, “Path to Publishing”! I truly believe that there are no accidents! You’re here because you want to be able to one day hold your very own physical book in your hands, and share it with the world!

But, you have questions…and they all lead to an all encompassing one - How Do I Start?

Welp, I’m 100% here to help! Take the above question and think about it as if you were trying to get to a literal destination…let's call it, "101 Children's Book Drive." You take out your phone to put the address into your phone GPS. What's the one thing you have to do first? EXACTLY. Either enter your starting location, or confirm that you'd like to start from your current location. We all know, there are completely different ways to get to a location and they will always differ based on where you begin.

So first, you need to determine where you are!
Now, I’ve broken this down just a bit further into three potential starting point categories!
You may be a little bit of one, and a little bit of the other, but knowing is half the battle

I WANT TO CREATE AND PUBLISH MY OWN CHILDREN’S BOOK, BUT DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START!

Maybe you’ve always wanted to write and publish a book about your great grandma’s journey to the US from Italy and her magical gravy that saved an entire NYC neighborhood from alien Rigatoni invaders. Ok, I just completely made that up, but it sounds like it could be a prize winner! So yeah, let’s flush out your main idea and create something amazing!

I HAVE MY STORY (TEXT) AND I HAVE ILLUSTRATIONS. WHAT’S MY NEXT MOVE?

You have it all, but still have questions. How do I lay my book out for print? Do I need a graphic designer? Should I go with hardback or softcover? What’s an ISBN number , and do I really need one? How do I sell my book? How much is all of this going to cost?! So many questions! But, I have the answers. See you inside the book hub!
