"The Couch Potato" Day 5's Children's Book Week
I’m wearing my Mrs. WonderSnail librarian sweater, so you know I mean business with today’s book pick. 🐌 👵🏾Wait. Who am I kidding? Day 5’s Children’s Book Week choice is, “The Couch Potato” and the only thing this guy is serious about is spending all, and I do mean ALL of his free time, in the same exact spot...on the coach... in chill mode all day and all night... until the unthinkable happens and *gasp* the electricity goes out and his tech infused world goes black!! What’s a Couch Potato to do when he no longer can be what he was planted to be? 🥔 🤷🏾♀️
After being cooped up inside for so long due to Covid, some of us (me included 🙋🏾♀️) have turned into a Couch Potato at one time or another, too. So this is the perfect read for all of us (and wee bit older kids) to teach them (in a fun way of course) how much of the world they’ll miss if they sit in front of the tv/tablet or phone all day. Even if you’re forced to be inside, there are many things to do that don’t involve the screen. 🌲 🌿🌳 @jory_john and @peteoswald do it again, with this humorous, but very real teach-you-a-lesson picture book. Bravo. #raisingreaders #ChildrensBookWeek
